Documented Outcomes
Before & After

Individual results vary. These represent documented clinical outcomes from AHPRA-registered practitioners.
Mechanism
Botulinum toxin type A blocks acetylcholine release at the neuromuscular junction, temporarily preventing muscle contraction. The effect is localised to the injected muscle only — systemic spread at cosmetic doses is clinically negligible.
Expected Result
Smooth reduction of dynamic lines at full effect (day 7–14). Natural expression preserved with correct dosing. Forehead, frown, and crow's feet achieve 80–95% improvement in most patients. Results appear gradual, not sudden.
Duration
3–4 months for first-time patients. Repeat patients frequently extend to 5 months as muscle activity reduces with regular treatment. Masseter (jaw) treatments often last 6+ months.
Risk Disclosure
Mandatory pre-treatment information
Onset
Full effect at 7–14 days. Do not evaluate results before this window.
Duration
3–4 months average. First treatments may be shorter. Regular patients extend to 5 months.
Eyelid Heaviness
Occurs in 2–3% of forehead treatments. Typically resolves in 2–4 weeks. Risk reduced by skilled placement.
Bruising
10–15% of patients experience minor bruising at injection sites. Resolves in 5–7 days.
Asymmetry
Rare with experienced practitioners. Correctable with touch-up at 2-week review.
